We’ve had a busy month. Our children have created magnificent acrylic on canvas paintings which they plan to sell. The children have decided that all of the proceeds will go to charity. The children know that there are other children in the world much less fortunate than themselves.
Our trip to the West Palm Beach Science Museum and Planetarium was very thought provoking and tied in nicely with our study of the solar system. Shortly after the winter break, we plan to begin a study of the Timeline of Life.
We have continued with the children’s presentations on famous personalities. We have met and learned about a wonderful mix of famous personages, including, most recently, Mother Theresa, portrayed by Alannah. The research and presentations have been marvelous. We are all enjoying our newfound knowledge.
Our Kapla Blocks are a great source of creativity. We see many architects in the making. It is a lovely way to wind down on a Friday afternoon.
Finally, we are planning an international luncheon for our winter party to be held on Thursday, December 20th. Please delight us with your cooking expertise by adding a dish with an international flair. We wish all of you a joyous holiday season. Thank you all for your continued support.
